Sculpture to Transform Culture into Nature

 

This sculpture uses a 4000 lb fragment of a city street as an armature for life to grow. Recycled water, controlled by power from solar panels, periodically mists the side of the road that was underground, creating a new habitat for moss and other plants to colonize. Definitions of natural and manmade are challenged in this object.
