Linnaeus Line

A 1/2 mile long sculpture is created by identifying and labeling plants along a straight line through the landscape. Land Art, Minimalism and Botany merge in this sculpture that explores the human tendency to superimpose geometry and rational order onto an organic world. The project is an homage to Carl Linnaeus, the father of modern taxonomy.
